Tolerance

I think as we get older our tolerance for certain things just dwindles. You can only tolerate things for so long before you are just like, “fuck it all, I don’t care.” I think this also has to deal with the things that are happening in your life. The good, the bad and the ugly things that are happening, can determine your tolerance for certain things you are willing to accept. My main thing is making sure you don’t fall off your own ship trying to tolerate everything going on around you.

What I mean by “tolerance for certain things” is that you could accept certain things being said or done by people but then after awhile it gets annoying. It either damages your energy, brings you down or is just out right selfish. An example of this would be someone who comes to you all the time with their problems but never has a moment to listen to yours. It’s all about self, getting their point across and them healing, not you. Granted everyone needs someone but at the same time you can only tolerate this abuse for so long before you just can’t. As adults we should be able to talk about it and bring it up in conversation. At times we aren’t mindful we are doing things that people can’t stand unless they communicate with us effectively about it. Until then you just take it all in until you can’t anymore.

I personally have had a lot of issues happening in my life for the past 2 years and a lot of things I can’t deal with anymore. At one point I use to care A LOT but life is so short that you have to make sure your good before anything. A lot of conversations I can’t handle anymore because they give me anxiety and make me feel some type of way inside. I tell people directly, “Let’s not talk about it because I can’t handle it,” because that’s how I feel. Sometimes we can tolerate things but at other times we just have to speak or just take a step back from them. Nothing is wrong with you, you just don’t want anything to damage your center of peace and your energy.
