I think as we get older our tolerance for certain things just dwindles. You can only tolerate things for so long before you are just like, “fuck it all, I don’t care.” I think this also has to deal with the things that are happening in your life. The good, the bad and the ugly things that are happening, can determine your tolerance for certain things you are willing to accept. That Bday Growth
I feel that on your birthday you always have some type of revelation or reevaluation of your life for the past year. You look back at all the good and bad decisions, then you begin to make executive decisions on different shit. You make executive decisions on what you will and won’t allow in your life anymore. Stepping Up
Stepping up is something we think about often but we don’t put into action. I mean we don’t clearly think about it in terms of the way we move into people’s lives, with the things we do in life, with our jobs and any other projects we have going on. What Is Your Escape (Part 2)
Re-touching on this topic because having a conversation with a combat veteran made me realize that sometimes finding your space takes time but when you do find it you feel at peace. A lot of my year has been focused on re-centering myself and refocusing my energy on me. Things that aren’t meant for me won’t stay but those things that are will just stick around. I’ve dipped and dived into many hobbies to find out what can help me stay afloat, while not trying to drown at the same time. For me it has been writing my most recent book and playing airsoft.
