Are You Happy? (Part 2)

I’ve been in a place where life is just going so well that my mind has been in outer space. I mean in the sense of just enjoying and accepting everything presented to me and making sure I am able to keep this feeling forever. It’s been harder to share stuff in my writing because I am in an amazing place. I absolutely feel amazing and God has been working his magic on me. Yes I see some negative things in my life but I don’t allow it to sabotage my happiness. The moment I dig a hole of negative thoughts, it will keep going and going. I always ask myself, “Are You Happy?” just to make sure I am in a good headspace.

The biggest thing that comes with being happy is being able to take a risk to be happy. Risk is needed to maintain your happiness and get out of your comfort zone. I say this because I have friends who are afraid of being too happy or things going too well for them. They think the ball is going to drop and then the world will end. I say fuck it and live your life. Be happy. Don’t let negative things in the world force you to stop being happy or pushing you to try new things. Happiness is all about self, and if you can’t make yourself happy, no one else will. The people around us help enhance our happiness.

It’s been 10 years since I’ve written about this but I still believe that you define your own happiness. Allowing others to do it for you, doesn’t make sense. People just add onto the happiness you already have and enhance it. If they don’t enhance your happiness are they really meant to be in your life?
